Un auténtico “hallazgo de granero”.

Actualmente NO apto para circular por la calle y necesita restauración.

Última matriculación y circulación en 1984 con matrícula alemana.

Se llevó a un garaje de Ibiza, donde se aparcó y no se ha vuelto a conducir desde entonces, durante 40 años.

Se adquirió a finales de 2024 y se trasladó en remolque desde Ibiza a Palma de Mallorca. En ese momento no funcionaba (ruedas, transmisión y motor bloqueados).

Desde entonces, hemos conseguido que el vehículo funcione, que las ruedas giren libremente y que la transmisión funcione. Se han gastado más de 10.000 euros en piezas y mano de obra.

El motor funciona EXCELENTE y la compresión es MUY fuerte, mejor que nueva y MUCHO POR ENCIMA de las especificaciones originales del motor 2.4. La culata tiene una pegatina que dice "The Forward Engineering CO LTD". Sospechamos que el motor ha sido reconstruido y ajustado según las especificaciones de competición (posiblemente también la transmisión).

Forward Engineering Ltd era una empresa con sede en la región central del Reino Unido. Fue fundada y dirigida por Ron Beatty, conocido por sus conocimientos sobre motores Jaguar. Construía motores V12 modificados para carreras de lanchas motoras y motores de 6 y 12 cilindros utilizados en deportes de motor.

A true “Barn Find”

Currently NOT street legal or roadworthy and in need of restoration.

Last registered and on the road in in 1984 on German Plates.

Driven to and parked in a garage in Ibiza, Spain and not driven since, sitting for 40 years.

Acquired at the end of 2024, trailered from Ibiza to Palma de Mallorca. At the time, not running (wheels, transmission and engine locked up).

Since then, we have got the vehicle running, wheels free spinning and transmission working. Over 10.000 Euro spent in parts and labor.

Engine runs EXCELENT and compression is VERY strong, better than new, and much OVER the original 2.4 engine specs. Cylinder valve head has a “The Forward Engineering CO LTD” sticker. We suspect the engine has was rebuilt and tuned to racing specs (possibly the transmission as well).

Forward Engineering Ltd was a company based in the midlands in the UK. It was founded and managed by Ron Beatty who was renowned for his knowledge regarding Jaguar engines. He built V12 engines modified for power boat racing and 6 and 12 cylinder engines used for motor sport.
