Le Paddock is proud to present this remarkable 1963 Simca 1000, fully restored to concours condition.

Presented in its original beige finish paired with a red fabric interior, this Simca 1000 impresses above all through the quality of its restoration.

Far from a simple cosmetic refresh, this example has benefited from a complete restoration carried out to an exceptionally high standard. The bodywork has been entirely refurbished, protected against corrosion and repainted, whilst the underside has received stone-chip protection in body colour.

The result is remarkable. The whole car now presents a consistency rarely encountered on a Simca 1000, down to the finest details.

History and restoration:

Every intervention was undertaken with the objective of achieving a presentation as close as possible to that of a factory-fresh car.

The engine was completely stripped and overhauled:

- Piston ring replacement

- Timing chain replacement

- Valve lapping

- Cylinder head gasket replacement

- Ultrasonic carburettor cleaning followed by complete adjustment

The running gear and braking system have also been attended to.

Very many ancillary components were replaced during the restoration: gaskets, window trims, fasteners, bolts, accessories and trim elements.
