1967 Morris Minor Pick up

Selling my 1967 Morris Minor pick up due to a possible change in my life.

This is a 1967 Morris Minor (Maltese) pick up . The story about these pick up goes that these were mostly ex PO Vans and bought at auction when removed from service. Maltese dealers used to remove the backs , leave them in the UK and stack more of these chassis cabs in the containers. Once in Malta these had the cab back and pick up bed locally made and fitted. the bed and cab back are welded to each other. These also had a replacment locally made chassis fitted. chassis is made from very heavy duty hollow section.

This is an ex PO Engineers van, the top bulkhead is still painted in the original mid bronze green and the dash is still black. I've bought this from a field and after doing the minor rust it had , fitted new brakes all round , new fuel tank, new shocks , bushes king pins and trunnions and put it on the road. it's been my daily driver for 3 years. once i was driving and the clutch just exploded so i thought it was time for an upgrade. I rebuilt a 1275 Marina engine and fitted it. It made a whole lot of a difference. the pick up had been a very reliable daily commuter and keeps up with traffic well. I left it looking like a rat rod but slowly was planning on starting to give it an overall pain job. Recently I had the roof, visor (GRP) and scuttle panel painted in old english white and fitted new windscreen rubber and wiper arms and blades. Sort of a rolling restoration.

the car is fully road legal and passed it's local MOT

there's a new headlining to go with it , 2 doors and 2 wings

The pick up also featured a few times on Minor LCV register magazine and even on a local newspaper. It also made a few appearances on The Mysteries of Madame Blanche series and will make a short appearance in the new Jason Statham movie.
