Beschrijving
Greeves 25DC mk 2 East Coaster 1966 ( Last and best year Greeves produced a road bike ) . Correct 250cc Villiers 4T 2 stroke twin.
Total nut and bolt , ground up restoration and only 6800 miles since and still in excellent condition .
Just fitted new rear tyre and tube and relined rear brake.
Work when restored :-
Engine fully rebuilt with improved centre main bearing oil seals.
All main bearings , and seals, big ends , little ends and piston rings.
New correct taper roller steering head bearings.
Gearbox rebuilt with new bearings , bushes , springs etc.
New clutch plates.
New correct twin exhaust system.
Rewired with new lighting coils , new Bultaco ignition coils , modern diodes (Improvement on original rectifier ) Quarts Halogen headlamp.
Wheels rebuilt with alloy rims ( correct 19" front, 18" rear )Butted
stainless steel spokes and new wheel bearings, all cables, controls , chains, etc. I've welded in a reserve fuel tap.
Re-plated original Miller logoed headlamp rim and small parts.
Shot blasted and resprayed in correct Moreland Blue twin-pack.
plus a can of touch up paint.
Various Villiers workshop manuals, parts list , mag. articles receipts etc. and some used spares. With V5C.
Greeves made the best handling lightweight of their time due to their history of Trials and Motorcross and the quality shows over
other British bikes.
