This example is a TR4 A IRS from July 1965 in its original colour "Signal Red 32" (matching color)

The bodywork is in excellent presentation condition.

It was restored in 2020 (invoice: €8, 500).

On this occasion the bodywork was completely dismantled to receive a full repaint; photo dossier available: removal/ installation: engine/ gearbox, seats/ dashboard, glazing, doors, boot, bonnet, bumpers, handles and locks, full body sanding, priming and full repaint in its original "Signal Red 32" (matching color).

After a professional orbital polish, a tiny dent on the engine cover was noted.

The bumpers and chrome overriders are perfectly aligned.

The rear bumper and overriders show slight oxidation.

The Black vinyl soft-top is in good cosmetic order.

Fitting is easy and its seals conform to model standards.

The rear screens are crack-free and show good clarity.

This car is fitted with the capote cover and tonneau cover option.

These are in excellent condition.

The four 14" painted wire wheels and chrome knock-offs are in excellent condition.

All four tyres show 5% wear both front and rear.

This example has kept the original spare wheel along with the jack and mallet.

Among the body/ exterior features, this example has: black vinyl capote cover with white piping, tonneau cover, and Obus-type chrome mirrors.

Interior:

The interior is in excellent presentation condition.

Leather upholstery Black with White piping is in excellent condition.

Black vinyl door panels are also in perfect condition.

Wooden dashboard is in very good condition, with no cracks.

The Black vinyl dash cap shows no fading or sagging.

The JAEGER cockpit instruments and Lucas ammeter are fully functional.

The three-spoke bakelite steering wheel wrapped in black vinyl is in good cosmetic order.

Triumph wooden gearknob is in good condition.

Black carpeting is in perfect condition.

Among interior options, leather Black with White piping and the Triumph wooden gearknob.

Chassis:

On the ramp confirms a ladder-frame chassis and a sound body, with no visible structural corrosion.

The floor, longitudinals, ladder chassis, sills and wheel arches are in good condition.

Usage caveat: we cannot guarantee beyond their visible/ functioning state validated on road test and ramp inspection.

During the dynamic test, no unusual rattles were detected in the body or running gear (joints, silentblocks...).

Braking is balanced, without vibrations or unusual noises.

Its effectiveness is boosted by the installation of a mastervac (brake assist).

Front discs and pads show less than 20% wear.

The rear drums show no signs of seepage.

The MOT/ test to be completed prior to delivery will confirm overall operation.

Engine / Transmission:

The mechanics run perfectly.

Compression tests and road test confirm a healthy engine.

The 4-cylinder starts immediately, without smoke or odd noises, idle is steady as per the 360° video with engine running at the start of the slideshow.

Cold oil pressure measured at 55 psi at 1000 rpm.

On the move and up to temperature, the engine revs cleanly without hiccups or overheating.

Mechanical reliability boosted by electric fuel pump, Lucas electronic ignition and additional electric cooling fan.

The fuel tank was replaced new in 2020 with an aluminium unit.

This example also has an aluminium rocker cover and chrome sport air filters.

The four gears of the manual gearbox shift smoothly with no snags.

This model has a battery cut-off switch.

Clutch grip is good; it was replaced in 2020 (invoice available).

As with many classic engines, oil seals between engine/ gearbox/ axle are only average.
