Beschrijving

The Rover P5 is a large, stately British luxury car, produced between 1958 and 1973.

The “Mk III” 3000 version means it’s the 3‑litre straight‑six (2, 995 cc) engine, upgraded power, deluxe interior and trim, and available in both saloon and 4‑door coupé body styles.

If you love the idea of classic British luxury, the style and character, then the P5 Mk III 3000 is absolutely rewarding. It’s not a daily driver in the way a new car is, but for certain owners it hits the sweet spot: comfort, prestige, charm, that “something different” factor.

ABOUT THIS CAR

This is a NZ NEW, unrestored British Classic in very tidy condition with good quality wood, leather, trim, interior space, comfort.

Only 7 owners - three for 48 years.

Factory Power Steering

Smooth and torque - the straight‑six is refined for its time, especially once up to temperature. Perfect for highway cruising.

Rare and collectable - the Mk III straight‑six models are rarer now than the later V8 cars. This adds to their appeal among enthusiasts.

Comfort is key here - spacious rear seating - excellent for long journeys.

A real tidy example in original condition.

Just serviced, comes on Michelin, white wall tires.

Nice body and paint.

Good chrome all round.

Beautiful factory interior (carpet, seats and all) in very good order.

Complete with factory tool kit, jack and tools, Rover handbook, service and log book and some parts.

Odometer in miles and mileage seems genuine.

A big plus is the ride quality - heavy, well‑damped, comfortable, with a sense of being well built and refined. The P5 was designed to project a dignified, stately presence.

Front suspension is independent and the rear uses a live axle with semi‑elliptic leaf springs.

The P5 has a dedicated following and strong enthusiast & club support / knowledge base. Plus this is a car that has a certain prestige: it was an executive car, used in government circles, and has a stately image. Besides the fact that its interior luxury (leather, wood trim) and styling give it “classic car” cachet beyond just being old.

Putting it all together, this 1967 P5 Mk III 3000 is definitely collectible among Rover and classic British car enthusiasts

The P5 was positioned as an executive or “gentleman’s” car and emphasised interior comfort (leather, wood trim), space, ride quality and refinement. A capable six - cylinder engine with decent top speed for its class, smooth and strong torque for comfortable high-speed cruising. Quality workmanship and engineering. Refined, clean lines, styling and practicality.

Sophisticated performance for the discerning motorist. More than just transport but a statement of style, comfort, and quiet power. The final word in executive motoring.

Car will be sold WOF'd and Registered if sold in New Zealand.
