We are pleased to present this 1965 Mercedes 230 SL “Pagoda”, offered in European-spec cabriolet configuration with a navy-blue hard top, in an elegant combination of Papyrus White 717 G and navy-blue interior.

Its last owner acquired it eight years ago and looked after it with care.

Produced in the mid-1960s by Mercedes-Benz, the 230 SL launched the legendary “Pagoda” line. It’s powered by a 2, 306 cc straight-six producing 150 hp, mated to a four-speed manual gearbox sending the power to the rear wheels — an iconic setup that blends flexibility, mechanical pleasure and timeless elegance.

The body, built on a self-supporting shell, underwent a full restoration in 2010–2011. Today, it presents in excellent condition.

The wheels are finished in body-colour paint with chromed trims and navy-blue centres, blending perfectly with the overall specification. They’re shod with Michelin tyres.

The cabin, restored during the same period, faithfully retains the original configuration. It stands out for its navy-blue faux-leather upholstery in very pleasing visual condition, its carefully preserved woodwork, and its period Blaupunkt radio.

The navy-blue mohair soft top, along with the original hard top in the same shade, completes the harmonious whole.

Mechanically, the M127-type engine, consistent with the model presented, was overhauled in 2018 with the installation of a new cylinder head correctly suited to use with unleaded fuel. The running gear and braking system were restored in 2010–2011 and then overhauled again in 2018.

The vehicle is registered on a French collector’s registration document. Valid MOT (technical inspection), maintenance invoices available, and a copy of the original manual are included.
