1969 VW Beetle 1500 – Original "Time Capsule" Example

After 20 years of ownership, I am selling my VW Beetle 1500. She was originally purchased new from the Eastleigh dealership in December 1969 by the first owner, who held onto her for 36 years before me.

She is a very structurally sound example of a rare, 1-previous-owner car.

Key Details & Original Features:

Color - Diamond Blue (L50B)

Original Features: Interior, floor pans (in good condition), "oil bath" air filter, radio-delete blanking plate, original jack, and dealer-option nearside door mirror.

Upgrades:Stainless steel running boards replacing the original steel ones (mounted on the same points).

Added Accessories: Radio, reversing light, and fog light. All switches and the radio are mounted on a custom bracket under the dashboard to preserve the bulkhead/ dashboard without defacing it. These can easily be removed leaving no trace.

Runs, drives through all gears, and stops!

Used as a daily driver for the first 4 years of my ownership, followed by occasional use. With a growing family, I simply don't have the time to get her out anymore.

Ideal candidate for a survivor build (clear-coated as-is), a full respray keeping the original interior, or a very light, straightforward restoration.
