1960 MGA coupe 1600 (5 speed gearbox )

For sale a 1960 mark one Mga coupe with a five speed Mazda gearbox conversion and upgraded cylinder head to run on unleaded fuel. the car is an original right hand drive home market example which still retains its original number plate.

The car has spent most of its life in the ownership of an aircraft engineer who fastidiously maintained it during this time, including a complete restoration. There is a photographic record of this in its extensive history file, which also includes the original green log book and numerous mot certificates and invoices.

The next owner fitted a great looking wire wheel conversion and a five speed Mazda gearbox which makes a real difference to the driving experience, making the car very responsive through the gears.

More recently over £1000. 00 has been spent servicing the engine carbs etc, and a new carpet in red has also been fitted along with a wooden moto litre steering wheel. new tyres have also been fitted which are slightly larger than the standard , giving a real improvement to the handling as well as the stance of the car.

The car is in overall super condition with no visible rust, dents etc, both on the exterior and underneath, and drives beautifully with good oil pressure and a very responsive gearbox.
