1969 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 2+2 Automatic

I am selling this classic UK RHD Jaguar E Type along with several other cars on behalf of a long standing friend of over 45 years, and of whom has had a stroke in recent years and regretably now has to part with them.

I have had several E Types of my own over the years and personally think they really were one of the greatest looking sports cars.

The car is with me and I know it reasonably well as I have travelled in it several times.

It has had quite a lot of work done to it over the last few years, there are numerous invoices for a complete repaint approx 10 years ago, cylinder block work, and more recently a cylinder head complete rebuild along with new head gasket, piston rings and main bearings, brake master cylinder, alternator regulator etc. There are various other invoices for paintwork and chrome etc.

There is also a 2+2 sales brochure and original handbook.

Whilst this E Type will not win any concours shows, it is a very honest, useable and what appears to be rot free example. Looking at the mileage on an old mot from 2000, it looks like it has only covered approx 900 miles since, most of that time being in dry storage.

You can leave it for a month, go to it turn the key and it starts without hesitating. It holds excellent oil pressure and doesnt overheat or loose any water.

It has the chrome wire wheels and the desirable full length Webasto style sliding sun roof which I might add was recover professionally last year by a reputable trimmer.

Paintwork is nice and shiney with a few imperfections and the interior although a little worn looks to be completely original.

Everything seems to be present and from what I can tell works.

E type prices at the moment seem to be all over the place with incomplete restoration cases being advertised for 25k and more, so It seems to me this represents great value if you are a family man with young children and you want to enter in to the E Type ownership, I might add it does have rear seat belts fitted.
