UEA 999G is a very special car, one of high interest and importance. This factory demonstrator also has the unrepeatable provenance of being the first major press car upon its release. Further to this, this is a low mileage car that still retains an incredibly original trim and has been subject to recent major work that has ensured the car is totally reliable for regular use. Supporting this, Classic Cars Magazine have recently extensively toured in the car and featured it on the front cover of their magazine.

This superb 1969 Jensen FF left the factory in Stratosphere Blue with Red interior, sundym glass, and a Voxson ‘8' track radio. It was first registered on the 21st of April 1969 in Birmingham to Jensen Motors for the use as a Factory Demonstrator, a few weeks later the car was passed to Good Relations Ltd for use as a Press Car. The summary of the strenuous testing was ‘the Jensen FF effortlessly lives up to its ambitious advertising slogan of, the world's most advanced car.'

It's first run out as a demonstrator was with the soon-to-be Jensen Chairman, Donald Healey, in June 1969, Mr Healey was accompanied by the motoring journalist of The Sunday Times, Courtenay Edwards on a tour of France. Following a number of press days and reviews, the FF was leant to Harold Dvoretsky the editor of Modern Motor who embarked on a 2500 miles journey across Europe. The European tour consisted of some extensive testing which ultimately through its passing with flying colours is why the Jensen FF has stood the test of time. With 14665 miles on the odometer and a rich history in the limelight of the motoring world, UEA 999G was sold to a private individual for the stellar price of £4900 to a Keith Maxey of Heathrow-based DAC Air Services. By 1972 the FF was sold again to a Mr Douglas Smith who ran a local petrol station and garage in Fyfield village. With the private registration AAB 9, the Jensen stayed with the Smiths for 35 years, with the period of '78 to 2007 in long-term storage in their garage. Upon leaving storage wearing just 68, 000 miles UEA 999G was purchased and put into the Jensen Museum after some re-commissioning work was carried out.

In recent years, the Jensen has been a part of a collection of high-quality and interesting classic cars and major work has been undertaken to bring the Jensen up to a top class standard. In 2022, the FF was treated to a body restoration and a repaint in its factory colours that boast a deep finish with good panel gaps. At the beginning of 2026, UEA 999G has been subject to a full engine rebuild with new pistons rings, main bearings, conrod bearings, and the cylinder heads were reconditioned which was carried out by Richard Appleyard Engineering, the Jensen Specialists. While it was in with Appelyards, the rear axle was fully reconditioned with a new axle bearing, differential oil seal, new rear half shaft. The automatic gearbox was also fully reconditioned alongside the torque convertor. Over £20, 000 was spent with the marque specialists ensuring the Jensen is as superb to drive as it is aesthetically. In this condition, with its impressive low mileage and of course unrepeatable provenance, this is a true collectors piece and one for the discerning buyer.
