This changed in 1967 with the introduction of the Targa. It featured a removable top panel, brushed stainless steel roll-over hoop, and a foldable plastic rear window. The setup offered owners the weather protection of a coupe, or a convertible-like driving experience with the top removed and rear window folded down, all with the added safety and stability of a rollbar.
