Beschrijving

This Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Cabriolet was built in 1961 and sold new to its first owner in Tivoli, Rome, Italy. It retains its matching numbers and complete ownership history since creation. This example is equipped with an original hard top!

Exported to the United States, it belonged until 1986 to a Ferrari enthusiast from Florida. Returned to Italy in 1986, it was shipped to Livorno for its new owner, who kept it until 2013. Between 1987 and 1988, it was restored in Milan. The restoration invoices are still available.

The car remained in Italy until 2013, when it was acquired by VSOC for its current Dutch owner. Over the past 13 years, this Ferrari has been part of an important Ferrari collection.

This magnificent and rare car is accompanied by well-documented history, including its 'Foglio Montaggio' (Assembly Sheet) technical record, an interesting read, the Ferrari Classiche Certificate of Origin, ownership documents, ACI papers and restoration invoices.

The engine is powerful and the gear changes are very smooth. With overdrive in 4th, the car can cruise at speed all day long. Ferrari has confirmed that all original and matching numbers are identical. The car is registered in the Netherlands.

Nothing compares to the experience of driving a classic 12-cylinder open Ferrari. After 13 years in the current collection, this car is ready to welcome a new enthusiastic owner and is just begging to be driven!

Price on application, thank you!

It is important to note that this car has been certified by Ferrari Classiche and still has its engine, gearbox, etc., in matching numbers. Model History

Ferrari enjoyed tremendous success in the 1950s with the 250 series, both road and racing cars. The 250 series, the most successful of the marque's early years, encompassed numerous variants and was characterised by the use of the 3-litre V12 engine of Lampredi or Colombo design.

The Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Cabriolet is one of the true Grand Touring cars. Not particularly sporty, but very elegant. The later models, equipped with overdrive, disc brakes and telescopic dampers, are particularly sought-after. Only 204 examples of the Series II were produced.

With its timeless and elegant design, the Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Cabriolet was – and remains – one of the most desirable cars of its era.
