1967 Mini Classic 850

Morris Mini Mk1 Super Deluxe in Island Blue, an Italian export model, manufactured in 1967 and first registered in Italy on 26th July 1967 and now registered in France as a Véhicule de Collection. Originally a 850 Automatic, the car was part of a collection in Bologna where the engine was replaced with a Cooper 998. The collection, some 12 cars, was then sold to Mini Revolution in Paris, who subsequently sold this Mini to Humblot in Fontcouverte, who then sold it to me. Whilst in Italy the engine and gearbox were replaced with a completely rebuilt Cooper 998 and other components upgraded including exhaust and brakes. Whilst at Humblot they checked and overhauled the car: – drain + filter + cartridge oil filter support – cylinder head clamping control (12G295 cylinder head) – adjustment of the rockers – calorstat 82° + joints – ignition adjustment + replacement of spark plugs, spark plug wires, capacitor, coil – HS4 carburetter control, nozzle replacement + seals – carburetion/ pollution adjustment on CO bench – AV/ AR train greasing, new wheels and tyres etc. The engine is like new. The car is FFVE registered, has an original interior with a period Leston steering wheel, has a rust free chassis and bodywork with excellent patina which has been ceramic coated. She is garaged and has a made to measure cover. I have numerous photographs, before, during and after Humblot’s work, and copies of the original registration documents. I have added Cafe Racer graphics which could be easily removed. She delivers all the fun of a Cooper 998 at a fraction of the cost of one in the same condition. She is an absolute joy to drive and guaranteed to make you smile. Not sure you will find another in such an excellent original condition with the power and sound of a 998. Originally registered in Italy in October 1967. I have the Italian Log Book. Sat in a collection in Bologna where she was upgraded to 998 Cooper specification. Bought as part of a consignment by Mini Revolution in Paris, a Classic Mini Specialist. Who sold it on to a Mini Specialist in Saints. They completely overhauled the engine, brakes etc. The body is original and many panels are original. Some panels have been resprayed. I had all the paint thickness measured. She has no rust or rot. Original interior. A great little pocket rocket. I am the first registered owner in France, there is 4 owners listed on the Italian paperwork.
