1968 MGB Roadster – Black

A very smart and well-presented 1968 MGB, finished in classic black and kept as original as possible while benefiting from a number of sensible upgrades and a 12 months mot with no advisories.

The car has a new chassis fitted in the 1990s and is exceptionally solid, with zero rust. The paintwork is very good and presents extremely well. It sits on chrome wire wheels and comes with its original-style cloth hood, as well as a works hardtop for year-round use.

Mechanically, the car is in good order with a strong, solid engine and a good gearbox with overdrive. It has recently benefited from new brakes, refurbished carburettors and a stainless-steel exhaust.

There are also several worthwhile upgrades aimed at improving reliability and driving enjoyment, including:

* Uprated alternator

* Parabolic rear springs

A genuine, well-presented 1968 MGB with a great combination of original character, solid body/ chassis and sensible mechanical upgrades. I’ll be sad to see it go but I am confident it will have no big bills coming in the future hence the higher price than others

This vehicle has only had 3 previous owners and very little use since being re-shelled. The car came with a folder of previous work carried out prior to me owning it but it is not comprehensive. I have spent a lot of time and money making this car work beautifully. It’s not concours but definitely worth a look.
