1967 Austin Mini Cooper MK1

1967 Mk1 Mini Cooper with matching numbers only been used the last couple of years following a full nut and bolt restoration with a full bare metal respray in the original Almond green with white roof with matching period Britax weathershield.

Over the last couple of years I have added some period modifications, such as Britax cooper seat belts, Les Leston steering wheel, benelite twin spot grill and mini spares 10” rose petals.

Engine wise - matching numbers with the original engine, fully stripped and re-build with +20 D top pistons, lightened flywheel, Piper 255 cam with both block and head skimmed with original twin filter airbox.

Interior - a mix of new newton commercial recliners up front with the existing rear seat retained. Existing carpets retained and cleaned with a couple of new sections added (in matching carpet from BAS).

As you will see the original hydrolastic suspension has been retained and fully retains pressure (still has the original herringbone hoses).

The Cooper has been sympathetically restored, retaining the history / patina of its past. Where existing parts could be restored and reused they have been.

Thanks for looking, more photographs of the restoration can be sent upon request.
