1965 Triumph TR4 TR4A IRS

Registered 08/ 07/ 1965.

I purchased this car in early 2022. The previous owner had owned it since the mid 80s. I knew of the car vaguely through seeing it at various TR register events.

The car had been unused by the previous owner for 2or 3 years(Apart from being run every month or so) as the owner had been unable to drive due to ill health.

Upon purchasing the car, it was given a sympathetic restoration/ recommissioning along with a full service. The brakes had the shoes pads wheel and master cylinders replaced. The carburettors were rebuilt and exhaust refitted. The diff was given a full service.

A new set of carpets were fitted. The roof frame and cover, tonneaux and hood bag were replaced not with new but very good second hand parts.

The car performs very well and has the benefit of overdrive on third and fourth gear.

The car is in good condition. It is all original engine, gearbox and body panels. The bodywork is in good condition the car is shiny with a good patina. It is a good entry/ club level car if you are looking to venture into the triumph TR world.

My advice is don’t waste time asking lots of questions – come and have a look at it.

The car is based in the Midlands not far from Junction 10 of the M6.
