The model we are presenting was registered in 1962 and is of French origin. It was delivered new by the Franco-Britannic dealership in Levallois-Perret.

Characteristic of the Series 2 and 2A, the front headlights positioned in the centre of the grille and the sheet metal dashboard make it one of the most sought-after versions by Land Rover enthusiasts.

It stands out with its short-wheelbase chassis configuration and canvas-topped bodywork, with a V5C registration for 7 seats, offering an ideal balance between leisure vehicle and robust utility.

This vehicle underwent a comprehensive restoration approximately twelve years ago and has been meticulously maintained since.

The engine is in excellent condition and starts without noise or smoke, delivering full power.

A routine service will be carried out prior to sale.

The gearbox is smooth and the gears engage cleanly.

The alternator and battery have been recently replaced.

The steering presents no excessive play. As for the suspension, it performs its job perfectly. The shock absorbers have been recently replaced.

The braking system has been inspected for sale. The brake shoes and front wheel cylinders were replaced on this occasion.

The fuel tank is new.

As for the exhaust system, it was replaced a few years ago and is in excellent condition.

Finally, the wheels look superb and the BF Goodrich tyres are in excellent condition.

The chassis is free from perforation corrosion and is in fine condition.

The bodywork looks good and the few marks of time give it complete authenticity.

The matt green paint has already been resprayed, giving a military look that contrasts perfectly with the black bodywork elements, such as the grilles, badges, wheels and bumpers, fully contributing to the authentic and adventurous character of this Land Rover.

The military-grade canvas top suits it beautifully. It is consistent with the rest of the vehicle. It is nevertheless possible to install a van roof at no extra cost or a pick-up roof for an additional charge.

The front upholstery is in good condition, whilst at the rear, two new bench seats have been installed.

The instrumentation functions correctly.
