1962 MERCEDES 190 SL

An example of the iconic Mercedes-Benz 190 SL (W121), produced between 1955 and 1963. The vehicle we are offering is among the last units produced, corresponding to the year 1962, with a particularly elegant colour configuration and a condition that has become very difficult to find.

Date of first registration: 05/ 03/ 1962. Historic Spanish registration, exempt from periodic MOT testing. 63, 500 kilometres shown on the odometer. Original Mercedes-Benz Data Card available with all manufacturing data for the vehicle. All identification numbers and badges are present on the vehicle.

Exterior colour matching DB 334 Hellblau (light blue), paired with a blue leather interior and blue carpets, both retaining a beautiful patina consistent with the vehicle's age. Dark blue soft top perfectly complementing the overall aesthetic, with all its components in excellent condition, including the frame and seals.

Vehicle with an exceptionally well-preserved, unrestored bodywork, notably distinguished by the absence of corrosion, welding or major bodywork repairs—a condition increasingly rare on a vehicle of this era. 1, 897 cc engine, four-cylinder in-line, developing 105 bhp and paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. The vehicle retains its original dual Solex carburettors. Excellent mechanical operation, with engine compressions verified and perfect readings. All instruments, controls and accessories function correctly. Between January and April 2026, over €5, 000 was invested in mechanical and preservation work, fully documented: engine compression check, new fuel pump and fuel line inspection, fuel tank removal and internal cleaning, Solex carburettor removal and adjustment, engine mount replacement, gearbox linkage overhaul, rear axle removal to reseal the differential, rear brake repair kit, cooling radiator overhaul with replacement of cap and valve plus pressure test, engine bay restoration through sanding to confirm absence of corrosion and restoration of original finish, new ignition leads and NGK spark plugs, amongst other work.
