Our Volvo PV 544 Sport was first registered on 12 July 1962. Its history from 1962 to 2010 is unclear, so there remains some mystery surrounding its origins. It was acquired by Autoretrosport in Belgium in 2015 for restoration. It was then imported into France.

This example is in excellent overall condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. The complete restoration carried out in 2015 and the addition of numerous mechanical and aesthetic features ensure it runs perfectly and looks great. Finished in red, paired with 5. 5-inch grey alloy wheels, extensive chrome trim, two retro-style Cibié headlights, a black sports steering wheel, two grey sliding bucket seats and black roll bars, this example is one of a kind. The driver’s bucket seat has a cosmetic flaw.

Mechanically, this car runs perfectly. In particular, it has undergone a refurbishment of the gearbox and rear axle, the addition of an electric fan and a new radiator, the fitting of four Bilstein shock absorbers, silent blocks and more. The B18 engine, which originally produced 90 chevaux, has been upgraded – notably with Weber 45 carburettors – to deliver 130 chevaux. It is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. An expert’s report and invoices relating to the restoration are available. A service was carried out in November 2023 at Atelier Classic Auto. This car is ready to receive its Historic Technical Passport to take part in regularity rallies.
