1968 Volvo Amazon

Reluctantly selling my Volvo Amazon 123GT, 1968. I have owned the car for nearly four years and it has not cost me a lot, I've just replaced small things in the time that I have owned it. Prior to my owning the car, it has had 4 Bilstein competition specification shock absorbers fitted and four new coil springs. All the bushes front and rear have been replaced. The engine has been rebuilt and the gearbox is a reconditioned gearbox which was purchased from Brookhouse. It is a four speed overdrive gearbox. Rev counter is present. It has stainless steel bumpers front and rear, which will last significantly longer than the original chrome ones that were fitted to Amazons. The car drives superb, there are no knocks or bangs, no smoking. The engine is a genuine Volvo 123GT engine. The car is in quite good condition, there is no rust anywhere and the boot floor is solid, the spare wheel well is solid. The sills are solid. The floors all of the car are solid. The inner wings are solid. It has the 123GT steering wheel as can be seen in the pictures. The car looks really good, as you can see from the pictures, but as you would expect of a car that's nearly 60 years old there are a few blemishes in the paintwork. It needs a back seat, or the original one recovering as there is a large rip in the top of the backrest. The roof liner also needs replacing as it is starting to show its age. The car is British racing green. I have taken the car up to the highlands of Scotland for holidays over the last three years and it has never let me down, it has been such an enjoyable experience driving the car on the mountain roads and I have had lots of compliments from people we have met. The car domes with some service history which will be passed to the next owner. I am the fifth owner of the car. As stated initially this is a very reluctant sale. Due to the little bits that need completing I am selling for £15500, but would not accept any less than this. 123GTs are becoming rarer to find and whoever gets this car will not be disappointed.

This is a fantastic car and the 123GTs are becoming significantly harder to find. I have enjoyed driving the car on holiday and wherever you go you are sure to get compliments due to the character of the car.
