"It should be a safe and torsionally rigid convertible based on the 911 Coupé, please not too many changes to the Coupé as a starting point due to the tight budget, capable of 200 km/ h, the design must appeal to the target customers and above all meet the stricter occupant protection standards of the motor vehicle authorities in the USA, our most important export market. Thank you!"

In 1965, the Porsche 911, officially named "Targa," celebrated its successful debut at the IAA (Frankfurt Motor Show). The Targa thus established a new vehicle category and, due to its high demand, filled Porsche's order books at the end of the 1960s.

This is the upgraded S-model with two Weber 40 IDS triple downdraft carburetors and 160 hp, short wheelbase (SWB), originally delivered as a German specification to the Fleischhauer company in Cologne on November 28, 1967, and then handed over in mid-1968 to the first owner, whose name is known to us, in Bad Godesberg. It is finished in the sought-after "blutorange" paint and was expertly and faithfully restored in 2018.

According to our research, only 442 examples of the 1968 Porsche 911 S Targa SWB were built for the European market. In any case, an exceptional 911 in very good condition!

The 5-digit odometer shows a mileage of approximately 1, 950 kilometers. The current vehicle inspection (MOT / TÜV) is valid until March 2027.
