Beschrijving

The Wolseley 15/ 60 was produced for just two years from 1959, alongside similar new “Farina” bodied cars from Austin, Morris, Riley and MG. They were roomier and more modern than their rounded predecessors. The 1498cc “B” series engine was fitted with an “SU” carburettor, allowing respectable performance and MPG. Just 24, 000 were produced making them quite rare.

We are advertising this car on behalf of a regular customer. We bought a very good Austin A55 from him and agreed to advertise this car on his behalf. It is best described as a “use and improve” project that is driveable.

The upper body is in reasonable order but as you can see not perfect. The underside is solid in places but the near side in N/ S inner sill is gone. Work did start at the owner’s local garage but this has stalled and he has bought another classic. The welding will be fairly straightforward for someone with experience. The interior and under bonnet are in fairly good order and can be taken to the next level with a few hours work. The engine is sweet and quiet and clearly in fine fettle.

This is a very worthwhile project. It’s one of the rarer “high-fin” Farina cars and well known in Farina club circles. It comes with some history, a heritage certificate and a magazine article about the car.

Please call to arrange viewing. The car is in Leek, Staffordshire.
