1960 Sunbeam Alpine

A Series one Alpine export roadster with hardtop built by Bristol Siddeley for Rootes and sold new in South Africa, original black with black hard top but body now red; I AM CURRENTLY AWAITING A V5 FROM THE DVLA.

History file includes invoices for new exhaust, carb rebuild, Starter solenoid, front suspension parts, clutch master cylinder and many other jobs; both sills were replaced in 2012 (£2719) and the car has never been used on the road in the UK. It IS a project however. Seats retrimmed, dash has a non-standard Fablon covering! Many, many spares included: 1725cc engine and o/ d gearbox and rear axle, new carpets and boxes and boxes of additional parts. Paint cracking on the bonnet and pin holes in the front floors but not terminally rusty. Engines fires readily on easy start. New tyres. Workshop manual, Rootes Archive Heritage certificate

The early one with the big fins, relatively straightforward 'oily' rag restoration if you just want to get it on the road... much of the hard work done.
