1968 Morris Mini Cooper S Mk II 1275cc.

A wonderfully usable and well-sorted example of one of the most iconic British performance cars of the 1960s.

Built on 2 April 1968 and despatched on 25 April 1968, this genuine Morris Mini Cooper S Mk II is a UK home-market, right-hand-drive example, accompanied by its British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate.

Finished in Sandy Beige with a contrasting black roof and black interior, it is an exceptionally attractive and understated example.

The car's first owner retained it for an impressive 23 years, with just four previous owners in total.

An older restoration that has mellowed very nicely, this is not a Cooper S that has been turned into an overly polished showpiece. Instead, it is a properly usable example that has been maintained and developed to be enjoyed.

The engine has been bored to 1293cc, allowing the car to compete within 1300cc categories, and benefits from a modified camshaft and twin 1. 5-inch SU carburettors. Most recently it has been professionally set up and tuned on the rolling road at Sanspeed Engineering, making it an exceptionally lively little car to drive.

Recent remedial and maintenance work has included new fuel tanks, fuel pump and sender unit, together with a light service.

Despite being very much a car to use, it has continued to be carefully looked after. When away from our professional storage facility, it even lives within its own CarCoon at the owner's home.

Most recently, the Mini was displayed at the 2026 Goodwood Revival, an entirely appropriate setting for a genuine Cooper S of this era.

With its attractive period colour combination, long-term early ownership, Heritage Certificate and sympathetic performance upgrades, this is a particularly appealing Cooper S for someone who wants a car they can genuinely enjoy rather than simply admire.

Supplied freshly serviced and with a new MOT.
