1966 Ford Lotus Cortina Mk1

Mk1 Ford Lotus Cortina built November 1965 registered on 1/ 1/ 1966. Genuine car known to and inspected by Lotus Cortina Register with an agreed insurance valuation of £46k.

Lotus shell in good overall condition and car presents well with decent paintwork, some localised welding repairs are required namely to nearside bottom of A post & inner sill, spare wheel well, outer lower 1/ 4 panel, nearside strut top could be redone to a better standard, dent/ crease to offside 1/ 4 panel. I do have most of the repair panels which will be supplied in the asking price.

Mechanically very good, strong engine with great oil pressure rebuilt by previous owner.

Interior in nice original condition, would benefit from new headlining but fine as is.

Car was off road for some time lots spent including new Retroford fuel tank/ sender unit, rebuilt carbs, brake overhaul, speedo & rev counter rebuilt & lots more. Car starts runs and drives nicely, gearbox axle fine, used regularly and has proved very reliable, not a trailer queen but a car that can be used and with the necessary repairs carried out over time will make an excellent example.

I’ve enjoyed owning this car and now offered for sale for someone to take it to the next level.
