The origins of this legendary buggy go back to the early 1960s, when designer and surfer Bruce Meyers developed a revolutionary concept based on the dependable platform of the Volkswagen Beetle. The result: a light, agile and playful beach buggy with a unique fibreglass body.

The Meyers Manx swiftly grew into a cultural icon. Thanks to its excellent handling, low weight and rugged Volkswagen engineering, the buggy won over both leisure drivers and off-road enthusiasts alike. In the United States it became world-famous after impressive performances in desert races such as the Baja 1000.

Here in Britain, too, the buggy found its way to lovers of classic cars and remarkable recreational vehicles.
