The 300 Cabriolet D was among the most expensive and luxurious cars available on the German market at the time. Furthermore, the Cabriolet D was one of the rarest body-styles to grace a Mercedes-Benz chassis. Its convertible sedan setup was typically reserved for heads of state and board members. Fast and elegant, it was one of very few contemporary vehicles capable of carrying six passengers in comfort at sustained high speeds.
