1957 Jaguar XK150 FHC

Very original and useable with steel wheels and spats, manual overdrive. Well preserved with engine recondition about 10 years ago. Featured in Oct/ Nov 2000 Beaded Wheel issue 246. Near new tyres 600-16 Excelsior. FIVA card and Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate and VIC.

this car is No. 75 RHDrive car dispatched from factory 23/ 11/ 1957 to Independent Motor Sales in Wellington NZ.

Registered By Bob Gibbons in Jan 1958. Special equipment model with 210 bhp engine, close ratio gearbox with overdrive and limited slip diff.

of the 15 XK150 FHC sold new in NZ only 2 had steel wheels.

17 steel wheeled XK150's were produced.

the second owner is believed to have been a dentist from Paraparaumu.

Bill Cockram acquired the car in mid1975 from Gavin Bain on behalf of his brother John Bain. I purchased the car from Bill Cockram in 2021.

The engine was reconditioned by Bill in about 2012 and I have details of that and other minor work during his ownership.
