1959 Porsche 356 Coupe

This 1959 Porsche 356 A T2 1600 GT Coupé represents the perfect balance between authenticity and restoration excellence. It is part of a limited series of just 2, 743 units produced between 1958 and 1959, which today makes it a rare and sought-after car.

Fully restored from top to bottom, this 356 has benefited from meticulous work carried out to the highest standards. Every element, bodyshell, chassis, powertrain, upholstery, running gear and fittings has been rebuilt or renewed with a constant eye for detail. The result is spectacular. A car as new in its condition and presentation, faithful to the original down to the finest finishes.

Clad in a superb glossy Graphite Grey, the car stands out with its smooth and elegant lines, underscored by aluminium “GT” trim on the bumpers, two air intake scoops on the bonnet and a central front fuel filler, a direct nod to the competition versions of the era.

The all-beige leather interior, with its seats, the two-spoke white Bakelite steering wheel and the Porsche-branded central horn, offers an atmosphere that is both sporty and refined.

All finish elements, headlight grilles, long-range headlights, exterior mirror “GT type Carrera” have been restored or replaced with an exceptional level of quality.

Under the bonnet, you’ll find the original 1600 cm³ engine type 616/ 1 (number P74948) developing 60 hp, mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox in its original specification.

It is equipped with a central sport exhaust “Carrera” Eisenmann homologated, magnesium Technomagnesio wheels.

This 356 is matching numbers: its engine and chassis numbers correspond perfectly to its Porsche France specification sheet and its identification certificate.

Originally American, it is now free from any corrosion or impact marks, and presents in a perfect state of operation and presentation.

The restoration has been carried out with rigour and passion, strictly respecting original specifications, while ensuring a level of reliability and finish rarely achieved.
