1958 JAGUAR XK150 CABRIOLET

Launched in 1957, the XK 150 is the last and most refined evolution of the XK convertibles, with softened body lines and a single-piece, bulged windscreen. Disc brakes also make their debut on this model. Production ends in 1961. The model shown is a 1958 XK 150 DHC Drop Head Coupe. It has had only three owners. Bought in 1958 in the United States by an airline pilot, it remained in his possession until 1988, when it was imported into England and then underwent a complete mechanical restoration, including the fitment of an electric power-assisted steering system and a new paint job. A 3. 8-litre S engine developing 265 bhp replaces its original 3. 4-litre unit. In 2010, the current owner takes delivery and, over the years, ensures it is maintained meticulously, with major works carried out in 2010, 2011 and 2012—over €50, 000 in invoices— including the addition of a Borg Warner 5-speed manual gearbox, improving both reliability and fuel consumption. Among other upgrades: electronic ignition and an stainless-steel exhaust system.
