Beschrijving

Austin Healey 100M (Le Mans) Complete nut and bolt rotisserie restoration overseen by SA Kidston to the highest standard. This is the nearest that one could get to a new 100M. Old English White over lobeilia blue (as per 100S) Matching numbers with accompanying BMIHT Certificate,

Fitted with an aluminium Weslake cylinder head, tubular gas flowed manifold and side exit exhaust, as per the factory cars. It also has Alfin alloy rear brake drums and ventilated front drums, a nod to possible competition history.

The 100 M is a controversial subject, all factory 100 M's were BN2 models, as is this car. Whilst it has not been verified as such it displays the attributes and spec of a factory car and was believed to be one. The carburettors and inlet manifolds show the correct casting numbers and the etching on them is visible. The bonnet is a correct steel louvred item and most importantly the car has the correct canted left hand shroud support to accommodate the cold air box (Bill Piggots book on the subject states 'this is something the fakers never do') Geoffrey Healey states in his book on Austin Healeys that the only way to truly prove a factory car is to have a the original invoice. Obviously I dont have that and thus must sell as just a 100M.

For sale for substantially less than it would cost to restore one to this standard the car represents excellent value and should its provenance be proven it will be worth significantly more.

Sensible offers or part exchange considered.
