Beschrijving
The BMW R25/ 3, an ideal small and easily manageable classic bike to potter around the countryside and without doubt one of the prettiest small capacity bikes of its generation and the model that helped BMW back into volume motorcycle manufacturing after World War 2.
Since I have owned the bike it has been used sparingly in the summer to attend local classic vehicle shows where it always attracts a lot of interest.
The bike was fully restored in 2010, including an engine overhaul and since that time has covered less than a thousand miles. There is a folder full of paperwork to support this.
The bike was manufactured on 12th July 1955 with BMW records showing that it was delivered to the UK on 12th March 1956; this has been confirmed in writing by both BMW UK and the society of Automotive historians in Britain. During the restoration the electrics on the machine were converted from 6 to 12 volts through the fitment of a costly German Power Dynamo system.
