1955 Morris Minor Split Screen. JP Hersey Classic and Sports is pleased to present a charming and highly presentable example of one of Britain’s most recognisable post-war cars, this 1955 Morris Minor Split Screen retains its original 803cc engine and manual gearbox and presents beautifully in black with a contrasting red interior.

This is an early Minor, and the split-screen windscreen gives it the distinctive character that makes these cars so appealing. It has been restored in the past and has clearly been cherished throughout its life.

The car has recently benefited from approximately £2, 500 of recommissioning work, having seen relatively little use in recent months. It has also been recently serviced and is now running very well, starting readily and driving exactly as you would hope from one of these delightful little Minors.

The bodywork presents very well, with good paintwork and well-preserved chrome. The interior is a highlight and has been retrimmed and complements the black exterior particularly well in red. The underside has been rustproofed and treated during its life, helping to preserve the car underneath.

It retains its original semaphor indicators, although these have been disabled and subtle indicators fitted.

A particularly nice example of the early Morris Minor, combining the charm and simplicity of the original 803cc cars with a very appealing colour combination.

Low mileage indicated but not guaranteed. All in all a wonderful little British classic that’s ready to be loved.
