1951 Fiat Topolino

FIAT 500 C "Topolino" from 1951, subjected to a comprehensive and meticulous restoration, documented photographically throughout the various stages of work.

The car has been completely dismantled and restored with work carried out on the bodywork, chassis/ frame, mechanical components and interior. The 569 cc engine has been completely rebuilt and photographic documentation is available of the mechanical work as well.

The bodywork has been restored starting with sheet metal work and returned to its original period colour. The chassis and components have been dismantled, treated and subsequently reassembled.

The interior has been refurbished, maintaining the car's classic layout. New hood in perfect working order, complete with its opening mechanism.

The car also retains the distinctive black "ROMA" registration plate.

First registration: 28/ 09/ 1951. Petrol engine 569 cc, 4-speed manual gearbox, rear-wheel drive.

The car is in excellent condition and is ready for use, collection storage or participation in rallies and events dedicated to classic vehicles.

The most important aspect of this FIAT Topolino is the ability to document the work carried out during the restoration.

An extensive photographic archive is available showing the car before work and numerous subsequent stages: dismantling, bodywork and chassis processing, sheet metal repairs, chassis separated from the body and restored, preparation and painting of the chassis, work on individual components and complete engine overhaul.

There are also photographs of the engine stripped down during work, along with images of the car during subsequent reassembly and upon completion of the restoration.

The aim of the restoration was to fully recover one of the most representative automobiles in FIAT history, preserving its character and original specification.

Particularly fascinating is the black "ROMA" registration plate, which accompanies a car registered in 1951.

Together with the car, Italian documentation is available and, for seriously interested buyers, the entire photographic archive of the restoration and additional photographs and video of the car in its current state.
