Attention all classic car enthusiasts: Up for sale is a unique, black 1952 Jaguar XK120 Fixed Head Coupé. Through deliberate and tasteful aesthetic refinements, the already iconic silhouette of this Jaguar XK120 FHC has, in my opinion, been reduced to its absolute essentials and thus perfected. Connoisseurs will notice the subtle changes immediately, while laymen will simply appreciate the clean, elegant lines of the car. The goal was to make an inherently beautiful car even more beautiful – and that has been achieved.
Technical Condition & Recent Work
Mechanically, the Jaguar underwent an extensive overhaul in the winter of 2025/ 2026. Around 500 hours of labor were invested into recommissioning and optimizing the vehicle. Work included renewing or rebuilding the ignition system, electrics, cooling system, carburettors, clutch, water pump, as well as numerous seals and wear items. It also received a brand-new radiator and a modern electric fuel pump to ensure absolute reliability on the road.
Instead of the originally fitted engine, the car is now powered by a more potent Jaguar XK140 engine equipped with a C-Type cylinder head, pushing out around 180 hp! A particular highlight is the pair of original H8 "Sandcast" carburettors. These are considered extremely rare and are highly coveted among connoisseurs. This setup is paired with a later, mostly synchronized (2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear) Jaguar gearbox, which significantly improves driving comfort and usability.

History & Provenance
The Jaguar was manufactured on April 8, 1952, and delivered new on May 8, 1952, via Charles Delacroix in Paris. It is a rare Left-Hand Drive (LHD) model with a traceable history spanning several decades. In addition to the prestigious Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, a wealth of historical documentation is present, including old French registration documents, sales bills, invoices, and restoration records.
For many years, the car was part of a well-known French collection in Strasbourg. Previous sales records list Bernard Duhamel and Marcel Petitjean as owners. Furthermore, older descriptions mention a potential connection to the 1958 French film "Les Amants".
