SLJ Hackett are pleased to offer this incredible1953 Frazer Nash Targa Florio - 1 of Only 14 Built

We are delighted to present for sale the exceptionally rare and historically significant 1953 Frazer Nash Targa Florio, formerly owned by Noel Carr of Carr’s Biscuits. This is a unique opportunity to acquire one of Britain’s most iconic post-war sports cars — a machine that embodies the spirit of motorsport and craftsmanship.

Frazer Nash holds the distinction of being the only British marque to win the legendary Sicilian Targa Florio, and this car represents the pinnacle of that heritage. One of just 14 examples ever produced and the final car of the 10 early, more desirable bodied models, this Targa Florio is a true collector’s jewel.

Finished in elegant Uniform Blue with a burgundy leather interior and sporting 16-inch wire wheels, this car is not only stunning to look at, but equally thrilling to drive. Its rare front wing-mounted spare wheel enhances boot space — a feature seldom seen and unique to this early example.

Still wearing its original UK registration and accompanied by a well-documented ownership history, this Frazer Nash has been cherished, toured, rallied and raced extensively by its current custodians since 2006. Powered by the lively 2-litre Bristol engine, it delivers a driving experience that’s as engaging today as it was over 70 years ago.

Eligible for the most prestigious international motoring events including the Woodcote Trophy, Goodwood Revival, VSCC, Tour Auto, Modena Cento Ore, and of course the renowned Nash Raids, this car represents an unmissable opportunity for discerning collectors and vintage racing enthusiasts alike.

A proven performer, a piece of motoring history, and above all, a car to be driven and enjoyed.
