1935 MORRIS 8 RACING TOURER

I'm relisting this car following the second time-waster who had reserved it without going through with the purchase. Never mind his (tiny deposit!).

This car, fairly well-known in cyclecar circles, has been in my possession for quite some time and has accompanied me on the circuits at Puy Notre Dame, Yvois Carignen, Romenay, Bressuire, Chinon, Reims, Düsseldorf, Spa, Montlhéry, Saacy Rismes, etc. It lapped the Coligny Grand Prix faster than the motorcycles!

Built by an English engineer, the chassis—completely reworked—is from a Morris 8 but with the race geometry of a Lea Francis. The all-aluminium bodywork actually resembles a Lea. The Morris overhead-cam engine has undergone a complete rejuvenation with 2 SU carburettors and numerous improvements including a 3-in-1. This car goes very strong and has fantastic handling (race footage to back it up!).

The engine is simply brand new and running in, and everything works perfectly. It's not comparable to an Amilcar (except C6, Austin Seven or other cyclecars)—we're in the realm of Riley 12/ 4, MG Q type, Singer, Wolseley or Alvis.

Unique, high-performing and gorgeous, this car is properly registered in France with genuine chassis numbers.

I'm selling it for another project, so no part-exchanges (except for a Jaguar C or D type) as that's the project in question with a cash adjustment on my part, of course!

Ready for the season. (It weighs 600kg)
