This 1968 Ford Cosworth Focus Mark V Le Mans Racer has a fascinating and unique history in the Swedish motor racing world. With their expertise, they built several racing cars under the Focus name, including some Formula cars and later sports cars such as this particular model.Built for international competition Originally, this Focus Mark V was developed for driver Picko Troberg, who would use the car in the World Championship Sportscars up to two-liter. The chassis was designed by Charles Lucas, inspired by the Lotus 23, and the aluminum body was manufactured internally. The project began with a Maserati engine, but after disappointing performance, it was replaced by the famous 1600 Ford Cosworth FVA engine, which is still present in the car.
